Jude Lally is a cultural activist reclaiming keening as a living practice rooted in creativity, ritual and communal grief.
Her work is a radical invitation to inhabit the landscape of grief, using the steps of the keening woman’s ritual to give voice to grief and to shape its transformation.
As an artist and writer, she works with grief through doll making, painting and weaving and is currently writing her first book, The Ancestral Mothers of Scotland.
She lives near Loch Lomond on Scotland’s west coast and holds an MSc in Human Ecology from the University of Strathclyde.
